Held explores the instinctive desire for protection the quiet need to feel safe, understood, and at peace.

Inspired by the way a serpent coils into itself when seeking refuge, this work transforms the snake into a symbol of comfort, resilience, and self-preservation. Without visible eyes, it relies on intuition rather than sight, while its tongue becomes a guide through uncertainty, reminding us that true security is often felt rather than seen.

At its heart, this piece reflects a universal longing: to find a place, a person, or a part of ourselves where we can be vulnerable without fear.
